Well I don’t think I need to explain how tough of a fall harvest we’ve had this year! From breakdowns to poor markets to poor quality grains, it has been a tough year for sure! I just hope everyone just takes it one day at a time, you eventually will see the light at the end of the tunnel.

Just want to remind you that even though there is a lot of harvest to go, now is the best time to get seed booked for next year! I know it’s something you don’t wanna think about, but you can possibly save up to 12% with great financing options thru JD Financial or Farm Credit Services. Don’t wait until the last minute next spring to buy seed because not only will you loose out on the discounts, you may also run into seed availably problems! So if you have any questions on varieties, give any one of us a call anytime, Brian is on call 24/7.

On the lighter side, I came across this note while I was in Arizona couple years ago and thought this will get a couple chuckles and cheer your day a little.

The Wisdom of Will Rogers

Never slap a man who’s chewing tobacco.

Never kick a cow chip on a hot day.

There are 2 theories to arguing with a woman. Neither works!

Never miss a good chance to shut up.

Always drink upstream from the herd.

The quickest way to double your money is to fold it and put it back in your pocket.

There are 3 kinds of men

The ones that learn by reading,

The few learn by observation,

The rest have to pee on the electric fence for themselves!

Good judgement comes from experience, and a lot of that comes from bad judgements.

If your riding ahead of the herd, take a look back every now and then to make sure it’s still there.

Lettin’ the cat outta the bag is a whole lot easier’n puttin’ it back.

And Finally

After eating an entire bull, a mountain lion felt so good he started roaring. He kept it up till a hunter came along and shot him!

The moral… When you’re full of bull, keep your mouth shut!

Until next time, be safe!
